A Gun & A Ring
A Gun & A Ring is a 2013 Canadian dramatic feature film written and directed
by Lenin M. Sivam. The film explores the harsh realities faced by different generations of the Toronto Sri Lankan community as they try to build a life in their adopted land but are unable to let go of their pasts. All these characters are indirectly linked through a diamond engagement ring and a revolver with a hawk engraved on its grip. It was nominated for Golden Goblet Award at the 16th Shanghai International Film Festival.
It was also officially selected for the 37th Montreal World Film Festival (WFF) took place August 22 to September 2, 2013 to present under 'Focus on World Cinema'.
I was very fortunate to be the storyboard artist for this beautifully crafted film.

The Mandarin vs The HULK
In the summer of 1968, The Mandarin made an ill fated attempt to control the HULK's mind. Eventually order was restored by one Nick Fury, 'Agent of SHIELD'.

Captain America

In the late 1930’s, when WWII was still ‘over there’ and Marvel Comics was still an fledgling imprint of the much larger 'Timely Publications', editor Joe Simon and artist Jack Kirby conceived and designed the first American Super Soldier.
The legendary Steve Rogers was a skinny, sickly kid from Brooklyn who desperately wanted to serve his country, but he just could not pass the Army’s physical exam. Then through a bizarre twist of fate, Rogers became the first and (as even more fate would have it) only subject of ‘Operation Re-Birth’, a secret Government program devised to build an army of Super-Soldiers to defend the USA. In the parallel universe of the comics, Captain America battled on to lead the USA and the free world to victory in the Second world War!
Captain America became the first ‘Super Hero’ to star in his own comic book in 1941. He was eventually brought 'up-to-date' in Marvel Comics' The Avengers in 1964.
I have added Captain America to my deviantART Gallery.

Poison Ivy

Pamela Lillian Isley was an exceptionally gifted botanical biochemistry student studying in Seattle, WA. She also had a terrible weakness for mad scientists. During one particularly nasty experiment, conducted by a Dr. Jason Woodrue, she was injected with an experimental mixture of plant based poisons. Although she survived the ordeal, she was rendered mentally unstable and delusional and transformed into a new kind of hybrid species, more plant than human. She fled Seattle for Gotham city where, befriended by the psychopathic Harley Quinn, and tormenting the city as an eco-terrorist, her love/hate relationship with Batman began. Poison Ivy was created by DC Comics editor, Robert Kanigher and artist, Sheldon Moldoff. She first appeared in Batman #181 in June 1966. I have added Poison Ivy to my deviantART Gallery.

Venom

With even bigger and sharper teeth than Morbius, and the same overpowering urge to kill Spider-Man, the extraterrestrial symbiote known as Venom, fell to earth in 1982. Venom was the creation of a well intentioned Marvel fan, one Randy Schueller from Norridge, Illinois. He sold the concept outright to then editor Jim Shuter for $220 as part of a story contest. The character was further developed by Dave Michelinie, Mike Zeck and Todd McFarlane. A parasitic alien organism, the Venom symbiote attached itself to Peter Parker, and to the Spider-man costume in particular, lending it a dark controlling personality all it’s own. The shape shifting Venom went on to ‘bond’ with other established Marvel characters including Mac Gargin (The Scorpion) and Flash Thompson. Venom first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #252 in May, 1984. I have added Venom to my devaintART Gallery.
